Kim Kardashian is treated to a surprise 40th birthday party by her family... as Kris Jenner breaks down in tears over her daughter's milestone

Kim Kardashian, unfortunately, had to ring in her 40th birthday amid the looming coronavirus pandemic on October 21.

But the KUWTK star was treated to a lavish surprise party months prior that was completely orchestrated by her tight knit family and closest pals.

'I think just, like, turning 40, I'm not freaking out or anything. It's definitely a realization, like, "Holy sh*t. I'm 40,"' expressed Kim in a confessional on the most recent KUWTK episode, prior to her surprise bash.

No idea: With so much occupying Kim's mind, the KKW Beauty founder's little sister Khloe admitted that she was relieved Kim was not busy planning a birthday party for herself because the Kardashian family had something underway 

Message from mama: Included in the episode was a variety of personal messages from Kim's various family members, including a tear-filled birthday wish from her mother Kris Jenner

'I had all these, like, dreams and goals for my 40th birthday that can't come true,' continued Kardashian in reference to the pandemic.

'That's what I just keep thinking: "Holy sh*t. What happened? How did this happen? How did I get here?"

'It's definitely like, "Damn. I can't really be posting, like, too sexy pics on my Instagram anymore," so I'm like purging and I wanna get it all out!' she explained.

With so much occupying Kim's mind, the KKW Beauty founder's little sister Khloe admitted that she was relieved Kim was not busy planning a birthday party for herself because the Kardashian family had something underway.

She stated that the family specifically had 'something up [their] magical sleeves' and that Kim's childhood friends decided to hilariously recreate a dance routine they performed at her 10th birthday party. 

'I think we're so lucky that our dad documented our whole lives, like, I would have not remembered the 10th birthday dance if it wasn't for these videos,' admitted Kourtney in reference to their father Robert Kardashian.

The late Kardashian patriarch passed away at the age of 59 in 2003 after a brief battle with esophageal cancer.

As per Wednesday's dramatic episode, Kim was already in a questionable mood prior to her surprise party because she was irritated with husband Kanye West for 'driving around' at an odd hour when she needed him to look after their four kids.

At the same time, Kim was convinced that she was headed to a photoshoot so that added to the stress of her husband being seemingly absent. 

Later, Kim, dressed to the nines and sporting an elaborate makeup look, stepped into an SUV and had no idea that she was en route to her ultimate birthday bash.

My mom and dad videoed everything, took pictures of everything, so I have, like, clear memories of each birthday party and to see them all set up as I walk through this party and then to have the huge screens playing my birthday parties — so fun to see that all come to life in this room,' she explained in a confessional of the memorable moment

Because her birthday occurs mere days before Halloween, Jack-O-Lantern balloons dominated the entrance of the surprise party.
