It's not easy to stay close with your ex, and it's especially not easy to form a friendship with her next husband. For Lenny Kravitz, though, that's all just part of letting love rule.
In a new interview with Men's Health discussing his new memoir Let Love Rule, the rocker opened up about his relationship with Lisa Bonet, whom he was married to from 1987 to 1993, and her husband Jason Momoa. Kravitz and Bonet share daughter Zoë.
"People can’t believe how tight Jason and I are, or how tight I still am with Zoë’s mom, how we all relate,” Kravitz told the publication. “We just do it because that’s what you do. You let love rule, right? I mean, obviously, after a breakup, it’s work—it takes some work and time, healing and reflection, et cetera. But as far as Jason and I? Literally the moment we met, we were like, ‘Oh, yeah. I love this dude.’ ”
As for his 31-year-old daughter, singer and actress Zoë, the rocker deemed her “the most real person I know."
“Just having two parents who were known in the world," he continued. "The comparisons. She didn’t let any of that hinder her in any way.”
