Thomas Rhett Takes A Break From Touring To Create Lasting Summer Memories With His Beautiful Family - Country Now

“Slow down summer…” Rhett wrote on social media.

Thomas Rhett is enjoying some time at the beach with his wife, Lauren Akins, and their four daughters, Willa Gray, Ada James, Lennon Love, and Lillie Carolina.

The country superstar took to social media to share photos from their summer vacation on Monday (July 3). The carousel showcases a pair of photos, one capturing his entire family and the other highlighting his two daughters, Willa and Ada, riding their bikes into the sunset.

“Slow down summer…” Rhett captioned the two snapshots, referencing the title of his chart-topping hit of the same name.

Family Snapshots

On Sunday afternoon (July 2), the Georgia native shared photos from their oceanside getaway, which he simply captioned, “Beach time ☀️.”

The collection of photos found Rhett alongside his wife and youngest daughter, Lillie, as well as capturing moments of him with his daughter and his wife with their child individually.

Sweet Family Photos

Rhett’s time at the beach comes during an off week from his Home Team Tour 23, which features support from Cole Swindell and Nate Smith.

“Being on the road is one of my favorite places to be,” Rhett shared. “I can’t wait to see the joy on y’alls faces next year and with my buddies Cole Swindell and Nate Smith. We’re definitely gonna have a good time.”

Produced by Live Nation, Presented by Dos Primos Tequila and Fueled by Marathon, the 40-city trek kicked off on May 4 in Des Moines, IA at Wells Fargo Arena and continues through September 29, where the tour will wrap up at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN.

“My road family, they are my family. You know, I say it on every stage all night, by band, my crew, my truck drivers, my bus drivers really are one big family unit. So anytime we bring other artists out, like this year, Cole and Nate Smith are out with us and we just invite everybody to just be a part of our family. This year has been extra special and extra fun,” Rhett said of his headlining trek.

Additionally, Thomas Rhett recently celebrated a string of his latest No. 1 hits, including “Remember You Young,” “Beer Can’t Fix” feat Jon Pardi, “Be A Light” feat. Reba, Hillary Scott, Chris Tomlin, and Keith Urban, “What’s Your Country Song,” “Country Again,” “Slow Down Summer,” and “Half of Me” feat. Riley Green.

The country singer has managed to rack up 20 total chart-toppers in the span of just 10 years.

Vinyl Collection Coming Soon

In honor of reaching 20 No. 1 songs, Rhett also announced that he will be releasing a retrospective vinyl collection titled, 20 Number Ones. Arriving on September 29, the project will compile each of his hits plus his current single, “Angels (Don’t Always Have Wings),” as a bonus track.

Listeners will take a trip down their memory lane as they get the chance to re-explore their favorite tunes like “Make Me Wanna,” “Die a Happy Man,” “Crash and Burn,” “Unforgettable,” and more.

After earning his 20th No. 1 hit with “Half Of Me (feat. Riley Green),” Thomas Rhett released a brand-new single to Country radio that was inspired by his wife Lauren Akins on January 23, 2023.

Co-written by Rhett alongside Julian Bunetta, Teddy Swims (whose real name is Jaten Dimsdale) and Josh Thompson, “Angels (Don’t Always Have Wings)” celebrates unconditional, patient love.

“This is my favorite song from the album. I wrote it from a personal perspective, but I think it will resonate with a lot of people,” Rhett shared in a press release.

Previously titled “Angels,” the track first appeared on Thomas Rhett’s critically acclaimed sixth studio album, Where We Started, which arrived on April 1, 2022. The project features collaborations with Katy Perry, Riley Green, Tyler Hubbard and Russell Dickerson.

Where We Started features 15 tracks, including Rhett’s latest chart-topping hit, “Half Of Me,” a duet with Green, “Slow Down Summer,” as well as his current single, “Where We Started,” a duet featuring Perry.

Thomas Rhett’s next scheduled Home Team Tour date will take place on July 6 at Keybank Center in Buffalo, New York.
