According to a new study, trucks from Ford and Toyota are most likely to survive high mileage.
The study covers over 260 million cars sold in the USA between 2012 and 2022, with a long-lasting threshold of 250,000+ miles (4.02 lakh km). As per its reports, the Ford F-350 Super Duty is the most durable vehicle in the USA with a 49.1% chance of reaching 250,000 miles or more.
Second, third and fourth in the list are occupied by Toyota models - Land Cruiser, Tundra and Sequoia, respectively, with similar percentages of lasting over 250,000 miles. The top-5 is completed by the Ford F-250 Super Duty, which is said to have a 43.6% chance of lasting more than 250,000 miles.
The list of top-15 vehicles also has a few sedans in the mix. The Toyota Avalon is the highest-ranked sedan in 11th position. The study shows the Avalon has a 33.1% chance of being durable for up to 250,000 miles or more. The Honda Accord and the Toyota Camry also make it to the list but are positioned lower down the order in the 16th and 23rd position, respectively. The study shows the Accord with a 27.1% and Camry with a 20.4% chance of lasting 250,000 miles or more.
