The Prince, 71, took to social media to share a Father’s Day message and pictures. One of the images, taken in 1951, shows a young Charles being carried by the Duke of Edinburgh alongside the Queen, who is holding Princess Anne.
They are in the grounds of Clarence House in the black and white photo.
The second picture is of Charles and his sons at Cirencester Park Polo Cup in 2004.
The caption said: “Whether you are a Father, a Dad, a Daddy or a Pa, wishing you a Happy Father’s Day!”
The post on Twitter and Instagram prompted a string of comments from royal fans.
A Twitter user said: “Happy Father’s Day to Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince Harry and especially Prince Philip.”
Another wrote on Instagram: “Lovely! Happy Fathers Day!!”
A third commented: “Wishing your highness a lovely Father’s Day.”
Another said: “Happy Fathers Day to you.”

William, 38, has been staying at Anmer Hall in Norfolk with the Duchess of Cambridge, 38, and their three children Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte, five, and two-year-old Prince Louis.
The royal couple stepped out for their first face-to-face engagements this week.
They have been busy during the lockdown carrying out royal duties via video calls.
As well as Father's Day, William celebrates his birthday today and new pictures have been shared for the occasion.
The photos, taken by Kate, show William with George, Charlotte and Louis at their Norfolk home.
In one image, William and his three children sit on a tree-swing posing for the camera.
In the other picture George, Charlotte and Louis clamber on top of their father as he lies grinning on the ground.
Harry, 35, is starting a new life in the US with Meghan Markle, 38, and their one-year-old son Archie.
