Bachelor Nation was left in shock this week when it was revealed that Clare Crawley, who was set as The Bachelorette for Season 16, quit two weeks into production, but apparently the producers were even more surprised.
Producers were 'shocked by her choice,' according to a new report from US Weekly, who added that Crawley, 39, would not leave her room and refuse to go on dates because she had already fallen in love.
Crawley had met and fallen for 31-year-old former football player Dale Moss before filming had begun.

'They had to find a way to continue the show without just starting from scratch,' production sources added.
Crawley, who was runner-up on Season 14 of The Bachelor in 2014, reportedly didn't want to 'deceive viewers' as her reason for leaving so abruptly.

'When producers reached back out, out of the blue, it was very apparent that something had happened with production,' the source added.
Tayshia Adams, 29, who appeared on Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor in 2018, has reportedly come aboard to replace Crawley, though it has yet to be confirmed by ABC at this time.

The season already made history, as the first to be set outside the Bachelor Mansion, taking place at La Quinta Resort & Club in La Quinta, California.
This season will also make history in another way, with Adams reportedly becoming the 'second lead' and Season 16 reportedly featuring both Crawley and Adams.
Adams is reportedly currently on set of the new season, which was originally delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
