Rose McGowan has accused former co-star Alyssa Milano of being a 'fraud' and of hijacking the MeToo movement after the actress voiced her support for Joe Biden and defended the Democratic party.

The two actresses fired back at each other during an ugly Twitter spat on Friday, after McGowan went on a rant saying Democrats have done nothing to help minorities and the poor.

She also blasted Biden's speech at the DNC in which he said President Trump had 'cloaked America in darkness for much too long.'

McGowan, 46, has been an outspoken critic of the presidential candidate and his supporters after she sided with his accuser Tara Reade, who claims the former VP assaulted her in 1993.

In a tweet following Biden's speech on Friday night, McGowan responded: 'You are the season of darkness @JoeBiden @dnc. You are monsters. You are frauds. You are the lie.'

'What have the Democrats done to solve ANYTHING? Help the poor? No. Help black & brown people? No. Stop police brutality? No. Help single mothers? No. Help children? No. You have achieved nothing. NOTHING. Why did people vote Trump? Because of you motherf**kers,' she added in a follow-up tweet.

The comments drew criticism from thousands of users defending the Democratic party including Milano and fellow actress Patricia Arquette.

Milano, 47, responded with a 26-tweet thread of 'all the things the Democratic Party has done to make the world a better place', beginning in 1920.

She claimed Democrats 'lead the way' on issues of abortion, women's rights, healthcare, racial justice and LGBTQ rights, before firing back at McGowan saying she was the true 'fraud.'

'Rose and anyone bleating the same 'dEmOcRaTs DoNt HeLp PeOpLe' nonsense, your lies are going to hurt people less privileged than you. It's the kind of thing an ACTUAL fraud would do. Thousands of people are dying a day but you go on with your hyperbolic attention seeking tweets,' Milano said.

McGowan then responded by accusing Milano of hijacking the MeToo movement from its creator Tarana Burke and claimed she had created a 'toxic' environment on the set of Charmed with her diva behavior.

'You stole #metoo (a brilliant communication tool, not a movement) from Tarana [Burke]. You co-opted my movement, the Cultural Reset, for fame, jealous of me for outing my rapist. You made 250k per week on Charmed,' she began.

'You threw a fit in front of the crew, yelling, 'They don't pay me enough to do this shit!' Appalling behavior on the daily. I cried every time we got renewed because you made that set toxic AF. Now, get off my coattails you f**king fraud.'

She also blasted Arquette in a separate tweet after the actress argued that the Democrats were responsible for legalizing gay marriage

McGowan had also taken aim at her other critics adding: 'And if you can't see I'm dragging everyone to force them to be better & hold them accountable then you are delusional.'

She also blasted Arquette in a separate tweet after the actress argued that the Democrats were responsible for legalizing gay marriage.

'Go wear another black dress to an awards show, go make another vacuous speech into an echo chamber of fellow wealthy liberals in Hollywood. My family fought for the Democrats for years, still do. Do not lecture me,' McGowan replied.

The Charmed actress, who was one of the leading #MeToo activists after accusing Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault, recently blasted Biden's running mate Kamala Harris, accusing her of accepting past donations from her abuser.

Despite an outpouring of support from Hollywood on Harris's nomination, McGowan, 46, expressed her concern on Twitter that Harris had accepted money from Weinstein in one of her past campaigns.

'Did you return the money Weinstein gave you? @SenKamalaHarris How many predators bankroll you?,' she asked in a retweet comment from Jeffrey St. Clair, the editor of CounterPunch.

St. Clair wrote: 'It's hard to say which is more revealing of the fatal rot at the core of American politics, the fact that Trump and his daughter sent checks to Harris' campaigns or that Harris greedily cashed them.'

His comments were attached to a reveal from Washington Post reporter Matt Viser who listed President Trump and Ivanka's donations to Harris's California attorney general re-election campaign.

One commenter to McGowan's tweet set the record straight, sharing an article which said Harris planned to donate the $5,000 she'd received from Weinstein to a non-profit women's rights organization called Equal Rights Advocates.

'Good,' McGowan responded. 'Still creepy. Everyone knew.'
