Since Naya Rivera disappeared during a boating trip July 8, she and her family have received an outpouring of public support from her “Glee” co-stars, except for one: Lea Michele.

Grief-stricken Rivera fans took notice, and some of their anger and backlash against Michele got so vicious that the actress was apparently moved to de-activate her Twitter account Saturday, The Independent and Us Weekly reported. The Independent said Michele’s account, which is followed by more than 4 million people, simply disappeared.

Rivera, 33, is presumed to have drowned in an accident that occurred when she and her 4-year-old son Josey took a rental boat out onto Lake Piru in Ventura County for a few hours last Wednesday. The boat failed to return to the dock and was soon found floating at the lake’s northern end, with just Josey aboard. The boy told Ventura County Sheriff’s officials that his mother didn’t get back on the boat after going for a swim.

Since then, “Glee” stars, fans and other celebrities, including Demi Lovato, have flooded social media with thoughts and prayers for Rivera, including for the hope that she could still be found “healthy and alive.”

Rivera’s cast-mate Heather Morris tweeted out an offer Saturday to help join in the search. Morris asked her followers for their prayers to “bring our Naya back home to us” via her Instagram Story. “We need your love and light,” Morris wrote.

Meanwhile, some Rivera fans reminded the world that she reportedly didn’t have the best experience working with Michele during “Glee,” which ran from 2009 to 2015. Some of those reminders turned abusive, according to users who noticed Michele’s departure from Twitter Saturday.

Another user also mentioned that Michele, 33, is currently expecting her first child with husband Zandy Reich. On Monday, she also would be coming up on the seventh anniversary of the death of Cory Monteith, her “Glee” co-star, from a reported drug overdose. Michele and Monteith, who died July 13, 2013, were dating at the time.

Michele became the target of vitriol because of rumors of animosity between her and Rivera. Their characters, Rachel Berry and Santana Lopez, feuded on the show.

Rivera addressed the reported tension between them in her 2016 memoir, “Sorry Not Sorry,” writing: “I don’t hate Lea, and I never have. (But) I think (she) didn’t like sharing the spotlight. She had a hard time separating work from our outside friendship, whereas it was a lot easier for me … Lea was a lot more sensitive, though, and sometimes it seemed like she blamed me for anything and everything that went wrong.”

But in the weeks leading up to Rivera’s disappearance, Michele faced a rough time on social media following recent revelations that she clashed with other cast-mates — and that she even allegedly made the “Glee” set a “living hell” for Samantha Marie Ware.

In late May, Ware objected to Michele claiming to support the Black Lives Matter in a social media post. Ware claimed that Michele subjected her to “traumatic micro-aggressions” that made her question her “career in Hollywood.”

Ware’s allegation prompted other former “Glee” stars, including Morris, to come forward with stories about their own negative experiences of Michele’s “bad,” diva-like behavior.

Michele apologized for her behavior on “Glee” in a June 3 Instagram post and then has mostly stayed away from social media, The Independent reported.

Michele wrote: “Whether it was my privileged position and perspective that caused me to be perceived as insensitive or inappropriate at times or whether it was just my immaturity and me just being unnecessarily difficult, I apologize for my behavior and for any pain which I have caused.”

Michele only briefly returned to social media on July 3 when she shared a photo her pregnant belly during a hike, The Independent reported.
