And Denise's co-star and biggest supporter Garcelle Beauvais, 53, revealed on Thursday's episode of SiriusXM's The Jenny McCarthy Show that she was 'not surprised' by the news.
'I'm not surprised with the way things went. This was a really hard season for her,' said Beauvais.
In reference to the show's running storyline surrounding Denise's alleged affair with Brandi Glanville, Garcelle explained to McCarthy that 'when you're constantly talked about, you know, it could affect your marriage, it could affect your kids.'

Garcelle added that she took issue with Richards being grilled by the other Housewives at every group gathering throughout the season.
'It was just like, back off a little bit, not every dinner needs to be about this. I think she's just had enough.'
Garcelle, who joined RHOBH in 2019, claimed that, both, her and Denise were 'warned' by their co-stars that a Housewife's 'second season' on the series can be the most tense.

'I believe she was warned prior to the season. That's what she says. And that's what I want to believe. Lisa Rinna was like, "the second season is usually when things happen" and I said, "Is that a threat?' And she said yes,"' she recalled.
Brandi Glanville commenced the drama with Denise after claiming earlier this year that she 'hooked up' with the actress, while visiting her on a movie set in April of 2019.
Richards, who has been married to Aaron Phypers, 47, since 2018, has repeatedly denied any and all allegations of an affair with Glanville, who left RHOBH in 2015.

In response to those on social media that wondered whether or not she was in an 'open marriage' with Phypers, Denise insisted in February that she is '100% monogamous to [her] husband.'
Neither Brandi or Denise have strayed from their version of events, which only prompted other castmates to get involved and take sides.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Brandi spoke candidly about her side of the story and her intentions behind revealing the alleged affair.
'If I was just doing it to make a splash, why would I not have done it last season? Then they would have brought me back full-time this season because they would have had a giant full f**king story line,' she explained.
